As with some of Jay and Varina’s other eBooks, this one is to the point and isn’t too short.
There are plenty of full page photos with only one or two insets to help the reader clearly see the differences being demonstrated by the histogram on the page.
Despite the technical aspects of working with histograms, Jay and Varina have managed to clearly and effectively explain their use on a level that makes it easy for even the hobby photographer. The eBook follows a approach is systematic with natural progression; starting with the explanation of what histograms are and ending with their use in different aspects of photography such as bracketing and image processing.
Everyone from the beginner to the experienced professional will find this book extremely helpful when it comes to understanding histograms and using them to effectively produce better photographs.
